A. Rigid Shaft Support Traditionally, plastic chemical pumps both have a single sided shaft assist or solely use plastic for a double-ended shaft support. The downside with that is that under excessive temperature or stress, the shaft support weakens resulting in shaft deflection and therefore vibrations leading elevated wear and lowered service life.
